Opis projekta

  • Pomorska obrana, sigurnost i nadzor, kroz razvoj integriranih sustava pomorskih senzora, softvera i platformi, uključujući površinska, podvodna i zračna vozila

Project description

The ECCENTRIC project is implemented within the Interreg Italy–Croatia programme, with the aim of strengthening cooperation between academia and small and medium-sized enterprises operating in emerging blue economy sectors, such as energy, monitoring and infrastructure.

The project focuses on three main thematic areas:

  • Emerging maritime renewable energy, including floating offshore wind, wave and tidal energy, and floating solar photovoltaic energy
  • Maritime defence, security and surveillance, through the development of integrated systems of maritime sensors, software and platforms, including surface, underwater and aerial vehicles
  • Infrastructure, focusing on subsea cables, marine technologies and robotics for the digitalisation of the blue economy

Project results will generate direct and tangible benefits for the involved stakeholders, SMEs and higher education and research organisations, while creating a cross-border community of researchers and technologies supporting Croatian and Italian SMEs. The project will contribute to increasing innovation capacity, attracting investments and promoting sustainability in the Adriatic region.
