How to improve the investment climate in Karlovac County

Since 2016, the Lider Invest project has been promoting investments in manufacturing sector. These investments create new jobs, boost exports and create added value. This year Lider invest will be presented in Karlovac on April 18 at 10 a.m. at the "Edison" cinema, Šetalište dr. Franje Tuđman 13. 

Mini forums aim to give entrepreneurs information about investment climate. They also cover the local government initiatives, financing options, and funding sources. 

The program will start with welcoming speeches by the editor-in-chief of the Lider, Miodrag Šajatović, the mayor of Karlovac, Damir Mandić, and the Karlovac County perfect, Martina Furdek-Hajdin. 

Marijana Ivanov, professor at the Faculty of Economics in Zagreb and member of the Expert Board of "Lider investa" will give a presentation "Challenges of business in unstable times". The presentation will be followed by the panel "How to improve the investment climate in Karlovac County". Panel participants will be: 

• Branka Šeketa Karlović, Head of the Administrative Department for Economy in Karlovac County

• Daniela Peris., Head of the Administrative Department for Economy, City Development and EU Funds of the City of Karlovac,

• Frana Lokas-Mudrovčić, Head of Regional HBOR office for Lika

• Željko Pavlin, President of the HS Produkta Management Board

• Domagoj Boljar, CEO and co-founder, Miret 

• Mario Tomljanović, Operations director of DW Reusables

• Milana Spudić, Director of Controlling of Kelteks. 

In cooperation with municipalities, cities, and counties as well as institutional partners, Lider Invest motivate entrepreneurs to nominate their investments and become candidates for the "Lider invest" award. Lider Invest Award will be held on June 5 2024 at the Westin Zagreb Hotel. 

You can nominate your investment and apply for the competition until May 15, 2024. 

The project partners are the Croatian Agency for Small Business, Innovation and Investments (HAMAG-BICRO), the Croatian Bank for Reconstruction and Development (HBOR) and the Croatian Chamber of Commerce (HGK).
