The 2nd China-CEEC Investment and Trade Expo in Ningbo, Zheijang, is opened and the participants are from China, Middle and Eastern Europe. Croatian Chamber of Economy has organized the participation of, roughly, 15 Croatian companies, of which the majority are wine, natural cosmetics, food and souvenirs manufacturers. Other foreign manufacturers were from the similar areas of production, especially when taking into account that Chinese interest is mainly focused on the type of products mentioned earlier.

Zagreb Chamber has signed the contract on simplified information exchange between them and the Ningbo Chamber (CCPIT Ningbo), which shall certainly result in making easier connection between the Croatian and Chinese companies.

On the official fair opening ceremony, senior officials of all the 16 countries of Middle and Eastern Europe were present, along with the senior officials of the Ministry of Commerce – People’s Republic of China, local Government of the Zheijang province and the city of Ningbo. On behalf of the Republic of Croatia, the delegation was led by Assistant Minister of Maritime Affairs, Transport and Infrastructure, Alen Gospočić.

This fair is the opportunity for Croatian entrepreneurs who can now easily make a connection to Chinese business partners, but also to the Middle and Eastern European partners doing business in China. Taking part in this fair is a certain sequel to the recent Croatian-Chinese Trade and Investment Forum (Zagreb, May 30th 2016), and it continues the CCE’s initiative for intensifying the cooperation between Croatia and China, which was implemented with the help of Chinese partners, along with the support of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Zagreb.
